Justice department rejects privatization of prison | Inquirer News

It is time now to study the PRIVATIZATION of our jail system. But there is hesitance from the justice/prison/interior officials and personnel. I understand their fear. Privatization always results in the removal of lazy, corrupt, and incompetent people. In the USA, Israel, Australia, South Africa, etc., major prisons are privatized. It has been so for decades now. I know that in the past congresses, bills had been filed by legislators along this line, e.g. Sen. Lapid. At present, Rep. Suarez is pushing the idea in the lower house. The bills died of neglect.
