Coverup underway in Solyndra scandal?
Anyone who thought Obama would bring about "change" in the level of integrity in how politicians operate in D.C. has been sadly mistaken. The Solyndra scandal, like Operation Fast and Furious, is in the stonewalling phase. How long has it been since we've had someone in the White House with real integrity?
Obama's State of the Union Address
Reading on and between the lines and disregarding the empty rhetoric, it appears that Pres. Obama has thrown down the gauntlet on at least two issues:
1. class warfare is now a campaign promise. (The politics of envy will now become a campaign strategy). You think politics is polarized now? If Obama wins in November, more and more investors, money managers, venture capitalists, etc. are going to be holding onto their money and perhaps looking overseas, thus slowing the recovery. Don't get me wrong, the Internal Revenue Code is in desperate need of reform, but that can be done without the inflammatory rhetoric of class warfare.
2. the best way to fix the economy is government programs and spending. Although the free market system got a rhetorical nod, Obama wants to go to a command and control economy just like the socialist countries of Europe. We all know where they have ended up, but that's where Obama wants to take us. I hope you are registered to vote.

Recusal Refusal: Latest on the ObamaCare case
Justices Thomas and Kagan refused to recuse themselves (sit out) the ObamaCare case.
No net change as Thomas will vote almost certainly vote against it, Kagan (appointed by Obama) will almost certainly vote for it. Obama sought "empathetic" Justices for the Supreme Court. How could any sincerely "empathetic" Justice vote against expanding the welfare state? They will cancel each other out. As usual, J. Kennedy will be the swing vote in what is very likely to be a 5-4 decision.

Latest on BATF's Fast and Furious Scandal
Obama defends AG Holder. Claims Holder did not know about BATF's operation fast and furious in which over 2000 firearms were permitted by BATF to pass illegally into Mexico. However, there is some evidence suggesting Holder knew about the operation. Will congressional investigation reveal a "smoking gun?" Will Obama be forced to jettison Holder? Stay tuned.
U.S. Senate (and Presidential) disgrace
The U.S. Senate sidetracked a move to eliminate the $5 BILLION dollar annual subsidy for farm-belt corn farmers and corporations, among others. I guess some folks would rather cut programs that may actually help needy people than eliminate an outrageous example of the American kleptocracy at work. Our President was against eliminating the subsidy. It's not often we get a chance to separate the sheep from the goats in Congress. It shouldn't be hard to figure out who really cares about fair and sensible spending and deficit reductions. Those who voted against elimination of the subsidy have shown their true stripes.
Same Distortions, Different Dude
It doesn't seem to matter who's in the White House. Unfavorable data and research results will be spun, misrepresented, and distorted. This time it's the Obama administration and studies on the Gulf Oil Spill. Other than a distinct shift to the far-left, nothing has changed about the integrity of our politicians in charge. If you voted for change, you got a lot of ideological change--but not much else. So much for campaign promises. When are the two main political parties going to come up with some candidates who deserve our votes? LINK
First Amendment Hypocrisy: Dems & Citizens Unitied Decision
If it isn’t already obvious, it should be by now why The Dems are against the U.S. Supreme Court's First Amendment decision in Citizens United, and voted for the bill which was partly struck down by the Supreme Court. They are for the First Amendment only when they benefit.
"I want you to understand right now all over this country special interests are planning and running millions of dollars of attack ads against Democratic candidates," Obama said at a Democratic fundraiser in New York on Wednesday. "Because of last year's Supreme Court decision in Citizens United, they are now allowed to spend as much as they want, unlimited amounts of money, and they don't have to reveal who is paying for these ads."

IMHO anyone who thinks most American’s politicians have any sincere concern about broad-based First Amendment principles beyond self-interest are terribly naïve. Think critically: Who Benefits?
